001. Overview

When it comes to income, missions will definitely be where you earn a good chunk of your ryo from and thus your main source of income. Each has a minimum amount of post you must hit before you may turn it in for rewards which consist of ryo and potential bounty, for our nukenin.

Beyond being your primary source of income, missions are also used to track your character’s progression through personal or team plots. After all, we want to see character growth and so, character development is a huge part of the staff’s decision to approve your request to be boosted to the next letter grade.

To do a mission, one must notify the staff that they are taking that mission by posting on that specific mission’s board or by creating your own which may, or may not, be added to the mission board for the general public to take. In both cases, you must wait for staff to give you the okay before you begin or else you risk getting no rewards for your effort.

It should also be noted that people can make counter missions. An example of a counter mission is a shinobi from Kirigakure assigned to escort an important figure to Sunagakure. Now, perhaps this important figure is a diplomat on his/her way to sign an important treaty or maybe he has some secrets that can threaten, say, Iwagakure standing in the world. Well then, equipped with this information, a counter mission to kill the important figure can be made.

It should be noted that you can only complete a mission once a day, no repeats.

002. Classification

D-rank missions are typically assigned to genin teams fresh from the academy. They pose almost no risk to the shinobi’s life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting duties. Rarely do these missions involve leaving the village itself, though there’s the occasional mission that does.

C-rank missions are typically assigned to experienced genin teams or newly promoted chunin. They are missions with little to no chance of combat against other shinobi and typically involve guarding people against bandits or highwaymen, background investigations, eliminating or capturing low-rank bandits or thieves, and capturing or suppressing wild animals.

B-rank missions are typically assigned to experienced chunin and newly promoted tokubetsu jonin. Combat with another shinobi is anticipated and typically involves espionage, the killing of another shinobi, or guarding people just to name a few.

A-rank missions are only assigned to jonin. Combat with other shinobi should be expected and involve guarding important figures or suppressing shinobi forces for example. These missions concern, among other things, village or state level matters and trend hence the reason they are only assigned to jonin.

S-rank missions are assigned to very few jonin, and only experienced one to boot - ones that have proven themselves capable of dealing with important manners in a suitable fashion. Such missions are not to be discussed for they typically involve the assassination of important figures and transporting highly classified documents. Combat with other shinobi is a guarantee.

003. Post Requirements

It should go without saying, but you must meet the post requirements for a mission in order to claim the rewards. If the mission is done with a group, each member of the group must reach the minimum post requirements in order for anyone to claim the rewards. Of course, in the case of one of the posters going missing, a moderator may allow you to collect the rewards anyways even if the absent member of your party hasn’t completed the minimum post requirements - this is to prevent hard work from going to waste.

On top of adhering to the minimum post requirements, you must also adhere to the minimum word requirement for a post which is 150 words. Though you may be enticed to complete missions as quickly as possible so that you may attain money quickly, missions shouldn’t be quickies. An effort is required to be put into the mission and if the staff feels like you are doing missions for the sake of getting ryo as quickly as possible, they reserve the right to deny you your reward even if you have met all other requirements.
D-rank requires 3 posts.
C-rank requires 5 posts.
B-rank requires 7 posts.
A-rank requires 9 posts.
S-rank requires 11 posts.

Missions done with an established team/pair will reduce the required post count by one for every two people involved. This means a team of four taking on a C-rank mission wouldn’t have to post five times each, but three times.

004. Rewards

When it comes to coins, NDN doesn’t have a fixed number we reward. We do, however, have a starting point and how much you receive is dependent on how well you perform the mission, meaning the better you do the more bonuses you can earn to that reward. On top of that higher ranking PVE Missions will require a staff or experienced member to play the roll of the GM or game master to actually pose the proper challenge GM's aren't doing this for free however, they will earn an amount equal to 50% of the missions final take of the rewards (Not taken from the people partaking in the missions). Missions of B-rank are suggested to have a GM but not required, A-rank+ will require one unless it is a pvp mission.

Now while there is a minimum reward for a mission there is a chance that you will earn less than this reward, which will be up to the grading moderator to decide, they do not have to explain their reasoning behind doing so if they do not want to, but if you feel that your performance deserved at least the minimum requirement you request an appeal during which other staff members will get involved and the grade will stand afterwards.

Experience, on the other hand, has a fixed amount.
D-rank: 75 coins
C-rank: 250 coins
B-rank: 450 coins
A-rank: 750 coins
S-rank: 1,000 coins

Missions done with a team/pair will wield extra coins for your team - 25% to be exact. This is calculated after your original reward is determined.
